Skipstone · last updated 21 September 2026

The short version: Skipstone is a game. Play it, buy something if you want to, and it is yours to keep on the account you bought it with. There is no account to sign up for, nothing to subscribe to, and nothing here is trying to catch you out.

Using the app

Skipstone is licensed to you, not sold. You may install and play it on the devices your Apple ID allows, for as long as you like, for personal use. You may not resell it, charge others for access to it, take it apart to rebuild it as something else, or use it to break the law.

Purchases

Passes, bundles, stones, skins and coin packs are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the payment; Skipstone never sees your card details.

Passes, stones, skins and bundles are tied to the account you bought them with, and reinstalling and using Restore Purchases brings them back. Coin packs are consumable: they are added the moment they are bought and are spent in play, so there is nothing to restore.

Everything in the game can also be reached by playing. Purchases are shortcuts and cosmetics, not gates.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, because Apple took the payment. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no way to issue a refund ourselves, and no way to reverse one.

Your progress

Your save lives on your device and nowhere else. Deleting the app deletes it, and coins, levels and best distances cannot be recovered afterwards. What you paid for is a separate matter — see Purchases above. Please do not treat the game as somewhere to store anything you would be upset to lose.

Ads

Ads appear in exactly two places, and both are your choice: a visitor offering a gift, and a visitor offering to fish your stone back out after it sinks. Declining costs you nothing. Legend Pass owners get both without an ad. What the ads themselves collect is set out in the privacy policy.

Changes to the game

Skipstone is updated over time. Lakes, balance and features may change, and content may be added or removed. We will not take away something you paid for without giving you something equivalent in its place.

No warranty

Skipstone is provided as it is. It is a stone-skipping game made by one person, and while it is made carefully, it is not promised to be free of bugs or to be available without interruption. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live, which applies regardless of anything written on this page.

Ending it

You can stop using Skipstone at any time by deleting it. We may end this licence if the app is used to break the law or to attack the service.
